Canada's Wonderland

Canada's Wonderland is a 330-acre (130 ha) theme park located in Vaughan, Ontario, a suburb approximately 40 kilometres (25 mi) north of Downtown Toronto. Opened in 1981 by the Taft Broadcasting Company and The Great-West Life Assurance Company as the first major theme park in Canada, it remains the country's largest. The park, currently owned by Cedar Fair, has been the most visited seasonal amusement park in North America for several consecutive years. As a seasonal park, Canada's Wonderland is open daily from May to September, with weekend openings in late April, October and early November. With sixteen roller coasters, Canada's Wonderland is ranked third in the world by number of roller coasters, after Six Flags Magic Mountain (19 coasters) and Cedar Point (17 coasters). The 330-acrepark includes a A 20-acrewater park named Splash Works. The park holds Halloween Haunt, a Halloween-themed event, each fall.

Trains traverse 5318 feet (1606M) of track taking riders over 4 massive airtime hills, a 180 degree hairpin turn, and 2 helixes.

Features prototype open air seating; every rider has a “front-row” seat.

One of the best new rides in the world as voted on by Amusement Today readers and other Industry publications and polls when it opened in 2008.

This ride will accommodate guests with a maximum height of 80".

Features 32 two-person swings that provides riders with a gravity-defying thrill as their feet dangle at dizzying heights.

WindSeeker opened in 2011.

Skyflyer

Xtreme Skyflyer is Canada's largest free-fall swing. On Xtreme Skyflyer riders control their own ride experience by pulling the rip cord and initiating a 153-foot power flight that takes riders through a breathtaking pendulum swing, soaring a mere six feet above the ground! Drawing its inspiration from skydiving, riders will experience weightlessness and speeds of more than 100km/hr.

This attraction is not included with park admission. A separate fee is required to experience this attraction.
