近日，日本长崎豪斯登堡荷兰城（Huis Ten Bosch）主题公园将推出一个新的VR过山车项目“VR之王”（VR-King），并将使用VR技术来模拟一个高速过山车的行进过程。

据了解，“VR之王”过山车运用VR技术模拟了一个超高速过山车项目，其最高落差达300米，将以270公里/小时的运行速度，且高速行驶在长达3,000米的轨道中；整段旅程将持续2分30秒，当乘客登上车辆后，将被要求戴上头戴式VR显示屏和耳机，车辆和座椅也将进行移动以模拟过山车的效果。

如果该VR项目中模拟的过山车能够在现实中建造成功，毫无疑问将打破所有现存记录，而该VR项目则可以极低的成本让乘客体验到超高速过山车的爽快刺激。据悉，该VR项目单人单次的乘坐费用仅为500日元（约30元人民币）。

豪斯登堡荷兰城位于日本长崎佐世保市，它以荷兰为原型进行建造，被称为“小欧洲”，以其花节和灯饰王国庆祝活动而闻名。

“Record breaking” VR coaster opens at Huis Ten Bosch

A new VR attraction at Huis Ten Bosch theme park, Japan, uses VR technology to simulate a coaster that would be record-breaking if built in reality. 

The VR-King attraction simulates a 300m drop, speeds of 270kmh, and a course length of 3000m. Riders board a vehicle modelled after a roller coaster cart and wear the head-mounted VR display and headphones.

The VR ride lasts 2 minutes 30 seconds, and the vehicle and seats move to simulate the effects of the rollercoaster.

Ticket holders are entitled to one free ride, with additional rides costing 500 yen ($4.50) a time.

Huis Ten Bosch is located in Sasebo, Nagasaki. It is modelled after the Netherlands, calling itself “small Europe”. It is known for its Flower Festival and Illuminations Kingdom Celebration.
